Meet Zane Gephart
Our Founder
Zane Moved to CO from CA when he was 20 years old to be in the Rocky Mountains and take advantage of camping, snow sports and Real Estate Investments. Zane grew up working on anything mechanical and went to automotive training at age 16 in Mendocino County CA. Zane is most proud of putting in countless hours building a brand and being recognized as a top shop. Zane started Legend Motor Works at age 26 with a day job, Tool box, 1200 sq ft shop and a dream to provide the best service in the industry. Emphazising on being honest, stand up and offer quality work with a smile to boot! In the begining Zane stayed very small, now 13 years later we are growing a culture and growing a team all while managing to keep our excellent rating online! We are focusing on training the next generation of Technicians to offer sustainability to our amazing client base.
Meet Tony Jones
Our ASE Certified Service Advisor
Hi, my name is Tony. Originally from Washington State, I moved to Colorado Springs in 2022. I have been a service advisor since 2007. I have attended multiple service advisor education courses and have an ASE certification. I like working on my Toyota Truck, fishing, and being outdoors in my free time. My favorite food is BBQ and ice cream.

Zane made the adventurous move to Southern Colorado by himself.
He worked for shops in Pueblo before eventually moving to Colorado Springs, where he founded Legend Motor Works in 2009. Zane’s experience and skills as a mechanic are unmatched; and his passion for restoration drives him to continue building the best cars possible.
Meet Andrew "Drew" Miller
Our Shop Foreman & ASE Master Technician
I have worked in the automotive industry for over 20 years.Working at a speed shop while attending the Universal Technical Intsitute, I was accepted into the BMW Step Program. After graduation I worked for BMW North America for 18 years. I am also certified as an ASE Master Technician. Originally from Minnesota, I moved to the beautiful state of Colorado in 2019.I love fishing, gardening and working on my personal cars at home. I am excited to be working at Legend Motor Works to share my vast knowledge across all makes and models.
Martin "Marty" Squier
Our Technician
Martin Squier is into fitness and loves to lift weights with his partner and fiance Jody! He is originally from VA and he moved out here to be with his better part after they met via Tik Tok. Martin and Jody also love to hit stock car and circle track races. Martin is great with with our special needs young adults who we have visit the shop twice a month. Martin attended UTI in FL taking and completing Automotive and Diesel Programs.
Meet Jonathan "Johnny" Shaffer
OUR SHOP HAND
Jonathan is the happiest person around! He is a special needs young adult we hired over a year ago. He loves his fiance and is an awesome bowler! He is crazy about Pizza day and loves food a lot! He loves to work hard and is always wanting to impress everyone. For being special needs he is very high functioning and stays on task keeping our facilities sparkling clean and is always smiling and telling jokes. He really brightens up the day when he is around!
